After having an awful childhood phobia of the opticians stemming from school, l plucked up the courage to visit Calcoullis opticians in Halesowen. From the moment l walked into the practice, I was greeted with a friendly face and a warm smile, which instantly put me at ease. Nasir the ophthalmologist was absolutely wonderful, explaining everything to me. He was so kind and gentle throughout my consultation, and thanks to his wonderful qualities, I’ll never be anxious again to visit him. Thankyou Nasir and the wonderful staff at Calcoullis for your empathy and support. Highly recommended 5* review

Visited for an eye test and it was my first time here. I was genuinely blown away by the personal service I received , i don’t think I’ve experienced care like that in a long time. It’s a family practice, and you can really tell they put their heart and soul into what they do. They made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. Thank you

Wow what a fantastic service provided by this opticians! I had a problem with my eye, completed the referral form online, had a call back the following morning and an appointment booked for next day. Less than 48 hours for assessment, diagnosis and treatment prescribed.

Nasir was very professional, he put me at ease straightaway. Given a prescription and told which pharmacy to go to and a follow up appointment booked for the week after.

Cannot recommend enough, far better alternative than trying to get a GP appointment or sitting down Dudley Road all day!

We had such a great experience at this opticians with my 3-year-old daughter. Nasir was absolutely amazing with her, so patient, calm and gentle. He made her feel comfortable straight away, which isn’t easy with a toddler!

The medication he prescribed worked perfectly and we saw improvement very quickly. I’m so grateful for the care and professionalism he showed. Thank you again, Nasir we really appreciate it!

After not being seen at A&E for an eye injury, I attended Cacoullis. They were swift, professional, and extremely helpful. The assessment was thorough, everything was clearly explained, and treatment was started immediately. An excellent service — highly recommended.

Cacoullis are a real credit to the ophthalmology sector of health care, and I couldn't recommend them enough. Nasir you were great.

Every so often I experience a bout of Uveitis which then means hours waiting at the eye hospital for a check and treatment.

I was recently introduced to Cacoullis Opticians which is a much better use of my time! From the moment I walked in to the check up by the IP Optom, I felt valued and reassured rather than just a statistic.

I am so glad I now have an alternative to the eye hospital for checks and medication if required. Anyone else who is familiar with having to wait at A&E, I have no hesitation in recommending Cacoullis.

Got metal in my eye at work. Russells hall a&e told me 9 hour wait. Went home phoned cacoulis they got me straight in unbelievable quick and easy painless removal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Booked an appointment for my daughter online.
Was called to cancel as optician in a meeting on a Saturday afternoon.
Not left a good impression and was our first visit here.
Was offered 10am on the Saturday morning but this time was not convenient.

I always recommend this optician to anyone I can. So friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He dealt with my 13 year old with nystagmus wonderfully, did not talk about the condition infront of my son, as I had asked and approached the subject to me with care. He then dealt with my almost 3 year old so delicately after she had a minor graze to her eye and she was so comfortable with the optician that she managed to complete all necessary checks without a single complaint..thank you

Excellent service at Cacoullis in Halesowen . Went to book an appointment at the eye treatment clinic on a Saturday expecting to have the appointment for the following week but to my pleasure the gentleman said he could see me straight away, he did a very thorough examination of my eyes and prescribed me the medication I needed 😊 Would definitely recommend them, all staff very helpful and professional.

First time visiting. I got recommended from my doctor to assess a minor eye issue. The service was fantastic and I'm so glad I went as they picked up on an issue that is quite significant and needs a referral. This wasn't picked up on my last eye test 12 months ago with specsavers . So they really know what there looking for and taking about defiantly will be going back for any further eye checks.

Got an appointment very quickly to be seen by the Optometrist for a condition I have been struggling with for months. I was nervous before the appointment but was put at ease as soon as I arrived. The eye examination itself was well explained and carried out. The condition was explained very clearly and what treatment would be required. Follow up appointment made. Convenient location with parking, seen very quickly and I would highly recommend

Excellent... my daughter had bacterial conjunctivitis, called them at 10.30am went through some straight forward questions and told us to come up straight away went straight up and was seen straight away got her prescription sorted.
The lady i spoke to on the phone was also excellent very understanding very easy to understand excellent customer service... 👍 And it a free nhs service

We came in for an emergency appointment for our baby as apparently the GP won’t see eye problems anymore. The team at Cacoullis were fantastic, they saw us straight away with no appointment, was thorough, gave us the necessary medication, informed us if we had any concerns we could contact him directly to ask advice, just absolutely wonderful. 10/10 would definitely go there again for emergency appointments as well as regular check ups.

I recently visited the doctors for an eye issue that was not resolved timely. The optician was amazingly helpful, and by far the most useful resource I had throughout my issue. They had a wealth of knowledge and within a few days my problem has began to reduce and I was invited for follow ups to ensure my eyes were healthy. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing support for urgent eye issues

5 Star service,

I had an issue with my eye and was to be seen within 30 mins, I was met by a lovey receptionist and was seen by the doctor shortly afterwards,

I was given a perception and advice,

Will definitely be visiting in the future for an eye test or and glasses.

Having never needed to visit an opticians before I didn't know what to expect but the team at Calcoullis couldn't have impressed me more than they did. Extremely friendly, thorough and clear with their explanation of my situation. My appointment was on time and I left with everything I needed. I doubt I'll ever consider going to a different optician after the experience I had today.

Needed a cues appointment and was recommended here. Got an appointment the next day and was prescribed eye gel that cleared my problem in a couple of days. Great service and really nice staff. I would definitely recommend. Thanks

Absolutely outstanding service. This is not my usual opticians, however I have had to visit twice in the last two months for urgent eye examinations and treatment. Cannot praise the optician enough. Fitted me in for a same day appointment, even on a Saturday! Saw me promptly and was very thorough in his examination of my eyes, offering reassurance throughout. On both occasions the problems were sorted and I was back to normal in a couple of days. Follow up appointments were the same. Professional and courteous each time. Highly recommend this excellent local and independent optician.

Cacoullis were very accommodating and managed to fit me in for an urgent appointment first thing in the morning the next day to check my eyes after I’d been accidentally exposed to chemicals. Nasir was very reassuring, listening to my concerns and checking everything I asked. Nothing was too much and he really helped reassure me that everything was fine.
I’d definitely use them again!

I was referred here by my Drs for my sons swollen eye. Had two appointments, the second one being a review two days after the first. Both times we were presented with excellent service and care. The optician was brilliant with my son and explained everything to him. Lovely clean and tidy place too. Definitely recommend to both adults and children.
